 OWNER HISTORY:  I purchased this car for my wife in January 2000, paying over $46,000.  We got it in the traditional Jaguar color of British Racing Green, with Cashmere leather interior. This was to be her “fair-weather” car as she has an SUV to drive in the winter, hence the low miles (only 5,000 miles per year).  She just got a new BMW so her Jag is ready for a new owner to enjoy.  Always garaged, and stored in our warehouse when not in use, it is in very good condition.  The car has been detailed regularly, oil changed more frequently than factory recommendation (7 times in 40K miles), and any factory recalls completed. A new battery was installed at 28,000 miles and the 30K service was completed as scheduled.  All maintenance receipts are included.

VEHICLE CONDITION: 

 We do a complete 100 point mechanical and cosmetic inspection to each vehicle before listing it for sale.  There are always items that do not show up in photos that need to be mentioned so the new owner has no surprises.  A copy of this inspection is available by fax.

You can bid with confidence knowing we have disclosed everything we have found wrong with the vehicle.  Some people say I am too fussy, but we do the same type of inspection on vehicles we are purchasing for our Museum collection.  I feel it is only fair the buyer knows everything that is not perfect with the vehicle.

 I feel so confident in our condition description that if you are not happy with the vehicle (or feel we have misrepresented it) when you come to pick it up we will refund your money.  Once it leaves our property however, this refund offer is withdrawn.

 INTERIOR:  The upholstery, door panels, headliner and carpet are mostly like new, only a light scratch on the rear leather seat noticeable.  The ash tray lid would not stay shut and we fixed it so it stays closed permanently.  There is a full set of Jaguar carpet mats in fairly nice condition.

 EXTERIOR:  The British Racing Green paint is in very nice condition.  The body panels are nice and straight.  The rear bumper has a few light scratches from unloading items from the trunk.

 WINDOWS:  The windows are all in like new condition and the power windows operate as new.

 TRUNK:  Nicely carpeted with the battery and full size spare tucked in below the floor.

 CHROME/TRIM:  All the trim is in very nice condition.

 WHEELS/TIRES:  The 225/55R16 Bridgestone Turanza tires are original and still have plenty of tread left (see photos).  The chrome 4.0L style wheels have some corrosion around the spokes.  They have been replaced once under warranty, but the second set is doing the same.

 GAUGES/INSTRUMENTS/CONTROLS:  Everything works as expected.  

RADIO:  The Jaguar premium stereo system with AM/FM/Cassette sounds great and includes the optional 6-disc CD changer installed in the glove compartment.  

DRIVE TRAIN:  Smooth and powerful acceleration.  No noises or smoking.  

BRAKES:  The power-assisted 4-wheel disc brakes with ABS bring the car down from speed without any problems.  

STEERING:  The power-assisted variable speed steering is nice and tight.  

LIGHTS:  All lights operate as expected.  

UNDERHOOD:  All fluids are up to spec. and the engine compartment is nicely detailed.  

This low mileage S-Type has been recently serviced and ready to go.  Buy it, drive it, and enjoy the luxury of a Jaguar for 1/3 the price of a new one!
